The ASPnet students are encouraged to develop the problem solving behaviours in their daily life situations. The problem solving can involve so many techniques which students need to apply in order to solve crucial problems surrounding them in their life cycle. The techniques used in solving problems involve the observation, hypothesis formulation, experimentation and so forth. However the Formal education which is acquired from the classroom is not enough to prepare the students to face their surrounding problems and challenges facing their societies, simply because the education which they acquire in the formal education is based on the experience of other people which sometimes happen not to be theirs. Therefore it is important to get the education which is relevant to the problems which surrounds the learners. The learning from the experience of the respective society which normal happen outside the classroom is what we refer to as Informal education. This education is basing on facing the real life situations with real problems.

Informal teachings are community based learning which focus on problems and challenges facing the community. The community based learning nurtures creativity and innovation to people, simply because it is more practically and tends to find answers for crucial problems. For example the outdoor activities such as projects, community outreach programs help to provide the leadership and management skills to the participants.

Therefore we should not depend solely on Formal education but rather learning from the Informal learning because formal education is more theoretical and hence does not promote creativity and innovation to people. The really learning happens when Formal and informal based learning are combined, that is to say when the classroom activities are related to the problems happening in the societies and that the students are allowed to do outdoor activities and applying their classroom knowledge to solve problems which face their surroundings.

UNESCO National Commission of the united republic of Tanzania is happy for the ASP net students of Shinyanga Regions for realizing this fact. These students have conducted outdoor activities which promote skills. They have been able to present different ideas which surround their community through drawings of various pictures. Among ideas presented include Abolition of bad traditional practices such as Gender discrimination and violence against women, Street children, effects of corruption, and peer to peer counseling.
