Intercultural dialogues and
exchanges are among the integral part of ASPnet projects. These cultural
dialogues and exchange help the students to deepen understand cultures of other
parts of the world and hence help them to develop the culture of living
together in peace despite the cultural differences. UNESCO believe that,
despite the fact that people are different but there are common things which
all human being on earth share and those it is upon people themselves to find
out what they share in common in order to foster relationship of International
community. In this sense UNESCO strive to establish different cultural projects
for the students aiming to sustain the intercultural dialogue and exchange so
as to realize the International Understanding.
In Tanzania Intercultural
dialogues and exchanges have been fostered through the twinning projects which
tend to establish strong bonds between two schools from different countries.
Among the schools which have had their sister school in abroad are Kiluvya,
Jangwani, Mtakuja, and Benjamini secondary schools. These schools have
established partnership with other schools in Europe. For example Kiluvya
secondary school in Tanzania has friendship with Helene Lange gymnasium
secondary school in Hamburg German. Also Mtakuja has got partnership with a
certain school in Finland. The UNESCO National Commission of the united
republic of Tanzania hereby invite other schools around the globe to establish
partnership with some schools in Tanzania, the door is open most welcome.
